A traditional whole body massage using Ayurvedic medicated oils by two therapists, also popularly known as the “Four hands massage.” The synchronized movement increases blood circulation, stimulates the body and encourages proper energy flow throughout the body.
The Ayurvedic massage method known as Abhyangam, often referred to as Synchronised Abhyanga, has its roots in India. It is a highly soothing and healing full-body massage given by two therapists who work in unison. The word "Abhyangam" is derived from the Sanskrit words "abhi" meaning "into" and "angam" meaning "limbs," denoting the comprehensive character of this massage.
Warm herbal oils are liberally given to the body during an abhyangam treatment, and the therapists massage the muscles and tissues with long, rhythmic strokes. The patient has a sensation of equilibrium and harmony as a result of the therapists' coordinated motions, which generate a pleasing flow. The hard yet mild pressure stimulates the lymphatic system, improves blood flow, and aids in the body's natural detoxification process.
Abhyangam has a significant impact on the mind and spirit in addition to nurturing the physical body. It soothes the nervous system, eases stress in the muscles and joints, and nourishes the skin. This ancient Ayurvedic massage promotes overall wellbeing, profound relaxation, and the rejuvenation of vitality.
