Overview

It is a process by which the whole body or any specific part thereof is made to perspire by the application of certain medical packs externally in the form of boluses tied up in muslin bags. This is applied to two or more masseurs for about 60 to 90 minutes per day for a period of 14 days. This treatment is for all types of rheumatism, pain in the joints, emaciation of limbs, high blood pressure, cholesterol and certain kinds of skin diseases.

A traditional Ayurvedic remedy called Njavarakizhi comes from Kerala, an Indian state renowned for its extensive Ayurvedic history. It is a revitalising procedure that seeks to improve general well-being and reestablish bodily harmony.

The Njavarakizhi therapy entails the use of a bolus comprised of cooked rice and therapeutic herbs as well as the application of medicated oil. Warm herbal decoctions are dipped into the bolus before being gently massaged over the entire body. The bolus is rhythmically tapped on the body by the therapist, allowing the herbs' therapeutic benefits to permeate deeper tissues.

This Ayurvedic treatment is renowned for its therapeutic advantages, including lowering inflammation, stiffness, and joint pain. Additionally, it promotes relaxation, increases muscle tone, and helps with blood circulation. For people with illnesses like arthritis, paralysis, and neurological disorders, Njavarakizhi is frequently advised.

Typically, the Njavarakizhi Ayurveda package comprises a number of sessions spread out over a predetermined amount of time. The number of sessions may differ based on the demands of the individual and the severity of the ailment, and each session lasts roughly 45 to an hour.

Njavarakizhi is an all-encompassing Ayurvedic therapy that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It delivers a refreshing and therapeutic experience.
