Shodhana Chikitsa is a body purification treatment that uses some of the panchakarma procedures. It is preceded by Purvakarma, a stage in which the body is prepared for toxin removal. To undergo a complete detox Panchakarma treatment, a minimum duration of 21 days is required.
The traditional medical system known as Ayurveda, which has its roots in ancient India, includes Shodhana Chikitsa. It is a specific therapy treatment designed to purge and detoxify the body in order to get rid of toxins and get everything back in equilibrium. The primary goal of Shodhana Chikitsa is to purify the body of accumulated poisons (ama) via various methods.
The three parts of the program are typically preparation, purification, and post-purification. The patient's body is prepared for detoxification during the preparation phase with specialized food regimens, herbal medications, and lifestyle changes. The cleansing stage entails a variety of therapies, such as Panchakarma, which incorporates actions like Vamana (emesis), Virechana (purgation), Basti (enema), Nasya (nasal administration), and Raktamokshana (bloodletting). These treatments aid in the removal of toxins from various body systems.
Post-purification measures are put in place after the purification phase to make sure the body heals and regenerates. These may include food recommendations, herbal remedies, and lifestyle suggestions catered to the needs of the individual.
The Shodhana Chikitsa Ayurvedic program is said to be helpful for enhancing general health, enhancing digestion, boosting the immune system, and treating a number of chronic illnesses. To ensure safe and efficient detoxification, it is frequently carried out under the supervision of skilled Ayurvedic practitioners.
