Kadivasti

In the Indian traditional medical system known as Ayurveda, Kadivasti is a crucial medicinal practice. Through the rectum, medicinal oils or herbal concoctions are administered. "Kadivasti" is a combination of the Sanskrit terms "Kadi," which means medicine, and "Vasti," which means enema.

Kadivasti is carried out as a component of a thorough Ayurvedic treatment plan to address a variety of health issues. According to Ayurvedic principles, the process tries to balance the body's doshas (vital forces), notably the Vata dosha, which is thought to be the main contributor to many illnesses.

The lower back or sacral region is covered with a specific herbal dough container during the Kadivasti treatment, and heated, medicinal oil is then poured into the container.
