The Panchakarma treatment at Ayuskama will have five different therapies that have different rejuvenating effects on your physiology. We have divided our Panchakarma treatment at Ayuskama into three phases:
Purvakarma (preparation of Panchkarma process)
Pradhankarma (the actual Panchakarma treatment)
Pashchatkarma (therapies after the Panchakarma process)
According to Ayurveda, everyone has a different body composition and dosas, there is no universal Panchakarma treatment at Ayuskama that can be applied to everyone. That is where the expertise of our Ayurveda doctors Vinod and Neetu at Ayuskama comes into play.
Every Panchkarma treatment at Ayuskama is tailored to the needs and ailments of the patient. A proper consultation takes place before the treatment where patients discuss their problems with the doctors. The doctor then decides which kind of Panchakarma therapies will be beneficial to the patients.
Five Main Therapies Used in Panchakarma Treatment
The Panchakarma treatment at Ayuskama involves five Ayurvedic processes that are used to remove various kinds of toxins from the body:
1. Vamana (Use of Emetics)
In this process, vomiting is induced using a variety of therapeutic herbs. While this procedure is suitable for anyone looking to detox their body, Vamana is most suitable for patients suffering from phlegm disorders.
2. Virechan (Use of Laxatives)
In this Panchakarma treatment, natural laxatives that have no side effects are used to cleanse toxins from the intestines. Hyperacidity, constipation, piles, anaemia, etc are some diseases that can be treated with the Virechan process.
3. Basti (Enema)
According to Ayurveda tradition, Vata alone is responsible for more than 55% of diseases. With the help of the Basti process, the colon is cleansed using medicated oils and herbal decoction. Of all five therapies, it is one of the most revered procedures in Panchakarma treatment.
4. Nasya (Nasal Administration)
In this Panchakarma treatment, patients are given a herbal and oil mixture to inhale through their nose to clean the sinus congestion. This Nasya process is used to balance the Vata (air) dosha in the body.
5. Rakta Mokshana (Bloodletting)
This Panchakarma treatment involves removing small quantities of impure blood from the body. In reality, Rakta Mokshana is a blood purification therapy used when there is an excess of toxins in the blood that cannot be removed using herbal medicines.
